ABOUT EDMUND
Edmund began his journey in financial advisory in 2006. Being the eldest son in the single-parent family, his goal then was simply to give his mum a better life, and to bring light to the people he crossed path with while doing that. With an eye for opportunities and a determination to succeed, not only did Edmund Xu managed to put a stop to his family’s poverty cycle, he also helped many others do the same.
Having experienced how good financial planning has helped him become a better steward of his own finances, he wanted to expand his outreach and serve more people. He also found the social stigma towards advisors unbearable and believed something needs to change - financial consultants deserves more recognition for the important work they do. He knew though, he cannot do it alone. That was when he started EXO Advisory Group and built his team to what it is today.

He has since imparted his knowledge and skills to many financial consultants, who went on to attain multi-year MDRT accreditations.

Edmund believes that though everyone's background is different, a team can be united through a set of common values. Values is about what is most important, and it shapes the actions, words and behaviors of the team, when it is clear. Starting with the leader's personal set of values, Edmund's coaching methods help leaders bring clarity to what is important, their Strengths and also on their limitations. He also coaches on how to identify Talents, and to build a strong team with complementary talents and skills, so as to achieve the greater results, together.
